What is the Movement for Good Challenge?
Movement for Good is a month-long challenge that aims to inspire people to get active every day. It’s designed to support behaviour change, create healthy habits, and provide motivation to help people introduce regular physical activity into their lives.
Whether you choose to step it out, boogie on the dance floor, dip your toes into the pool or pump some iron – moving is one of the best things you can do to protect your health and wellbeing.

Edinburgh Leisure are launching the Movement for Good Challenge as part of our commitment to keeping people like you active and well, always!
Whilst we all know that moving and physical activity are important for our overall health and wellbeing, putting it into practice can be hard. Our lives have never been more busy – balancing work, family life, household chores and a whole host of other commitments, means exercise often falls to the bottom of our to do list.
If this strikes a chord with you, whether you’re new to physical activity or need a helping hand to get back into the swing of things, then this is the challenge for you. It’s designed to give participants a period of focus where you start to make small consistent changes by being active every day. This is the start of forming healthy habits so that regular activity becomes part of your daily routine, and you build the motivation to stay active because you feel good.
