Fitness Technology

Technology is increasingly a part of health and fitness, so we're dedicated to keep our facilities up-to-date. Find out more about the latest tech in our venues below.

Myzone is the latest innovation in wearable fitness tracking technology. Myzone doesn’t measure speed, distance, or weight lifted - it measures the effort you put in. This means that no matter how fit you are, as long as you push yourself, you'll be rewarded.

They are now available to buy at Ainslie Park Leisure Centre, Craiglockhart Leisure Centre, Drumbrae Leisure Centre, Royal Commonwealth Pool and Leith Victoria Swim Centre. Each of these facilities are fully integrated with Myzone display screens in their gyms and studios.

Who better to explain Myzone to you than Myzone themselves! Watch the video below for a comprehensive overview of what Myzone is and how it works.

The classic Myzone - worn with a strap just under the chest. The MZ-3's heart rate monitor is 99.4% accurate to an EKG machine, as it sits right by your heart.

New for 2021, Myzone have introduced the MZ-Switch. The Switch gives you the choice to wear your Myzone either round your torso (like the traditional MZ-3), on your forearm, or on your wrist.

The Switch also has a small light which tells you which zone you are in, so no matter where you're working out, you can still see how much effort you're putting in.

The wrist and forearm straps are also ideal for swimming.
