Junior Netball Coaching- Kids Netball Classes and Courses
New for August 2024 Edinburgh Leisure is happy to offer a pathway of Netball coaching classes for primary school children from 5 to 12 years old. There’s plenty of fun to be had on the court as this fast-paced game is a great way to get active and sociailise while developing skills and accuracy.
Our new pathway is currently on offer at Drumbrae Leisure Centre
Our Classes:
Netball Minis – 5 - 7 years
Netball Minis is Edinburgh Leisure’s introduction to the fun world of Netball. With a primary focus on fun and skills development, our Netball Minis will enthuse participants for learning through physical movements, play and capturing their imagination. Children are introduced to the FUNdamentals of netball.
Each child is given the opportunity to work within their ability level but taught in a group environment
Netball Stars – 8 - 10 years – 5 - 7 years
Netball STARS are confident with boundless energy and this is catered for in the lesson plans.
Our classes are fast-paced and increasingly netball focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up.
Children begin to understand the importance of team play and Fun 5z small sided games are gradually introduced.
Netball Go-Getters - 9-12 years
Goal Getter classes incorporate our rounded learning approach of play, practice and understanding. Play is the motivator and promotes continued and repeated practice.
This disguised learning in itself is a powerful tool, however we believe in not only teaching the children how to perform the skills, but also to understand why and where to use the skill in the real game of netball.
