Tumbles Closure Notice
Tumbles Soft Play & Café is now temporarily closed from Monday, 7th April for approximately two months as we carry out exciting upgrades to make your play experience better than ever.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:
- An upgraded play frame with fresh challenges and new games
- An expanded café seating area for extra comfort
- A fresh new look to complete the Explorer Island experience
- A revamped birthday party room, with our popular Soft Play Birthday Party offering making a comeback!
In the meantime, the fun continues at Clambers and Scrambles. And remember, your Soft Play membership gives you unlimited access to both. See you very soon!
Gymnastics lessons will continue as normal from Monday 21st April but please note there will be no changing facilities available during the refurb.

Tumbles is our incredible, purpose built gymnastics facility offering classes and coaching for all levels of ability from walking until 16 years old. Tumbles at Portobello – Indoor Soft Play
Tumbles at Portobello is one of our three Soft Play venues at Edinburgh Leisure.
Tumbles has distinct zones for babies, toddlers and juniors, providing children with an exciting range of features that will help develop their sense of balance, stimulate their minds and promote activity. And of course it’s a whole lot of fun!
You can simply drop in for your soft play sessions at Tumbles – no bookings. We have 60 and 90 minute sessions available.
Enjoy Unlimited Soft Play at our three fantastic venues with our Young Explorer Soft Play Membership.

Please note Edinburgh Leisure operates in a cashless environment. We accept card and contactless payments only; no cash. Prices correct as of 1st April 2025.
90 minute sessions may not be available during peak times due to demand. Edinburgh Leisure reserves the right to remove this option.

Home of Gymnastics in Edinburgh, Tumbles at Portobello is a purpose-built gymnastics facility for classes and coaching for kids up to 16 years of age.
Tumbles is also home to an exciting soft play and associated café available for soft play and coaching customers only.
