Please be advised that the car park at Meadowbank Sports Centre is likely to be busy on Sat 22nd February and also Sat 1st March and Sun 2nd March due to events being hosted at the venue. Important Notice: Parking at Meadowbank Sports Centre
We are experiencing increased safety issues related to vehicles parking in and around Meadowbank Sports Centre. This is reaching a critical point where there are an unacceptable number of illegally parked cars posing significant risk. We will be installing a new car park management system and in the meantime City of Edinburgh Council will be increasing traffic enforcement officers in this area. We would appreciate your immediate consideration regarding safe parking in the area. If you encounter any issues, contact the City of Edinburgh Council 0131 200 2000 and choose option 6 (Roads and Clearance).
Welcome to the new Meadowbank
Meadowbank has been at the heart of the local community for more than 50 years and its commitment to sport, physical activity, health and wellbeing of the city has never changed.
Host to two Commonwealth Games in 1970 and 1986 – the first venue to host the Games twice – Meadowbank is steeped in Scottish sporting history.
The new Meadowbank Sports Centre re-opened in 2022 with a full suite of breathtaking facilities including a multi-purpose gym, 2 Fitness Studios, 3 Games Halls, Squash Courts, 3G sport pitches and indoor and outdoor athletics tracks.
A new Hybrid Gym, Evolve, opening in October 2024, provides state of the art training facility for Hyrox and other hybrid fitness competitions.
The venue is also home to meeting rooms, the Edinburgh Leisure corporate offices and Café Refresh for hot and cold food, drinks, snacks and treats.

Bookings at Meadowbank
Meadowbank is home to two gyms, available to use for members or visitors alike.
Our main gym requires no booking for a Gym session (for over 16s) - you can just drop in.
However, our specialist Hybrid Gym and Hyrox Training Club, Evolve, requires pre-booking for gym sessions and classes.
All Fitness and Gym classes, Coaching lessons, Hall and Pitch bookings require pre-booking. See our timetable for more information. Under 16s must also pre-book a gym session.
