Jack Kane Sports Centre - Niddrie Gym - Edinburgh Leisure

As the year winds down to a close, many of our venues will experience changed opening hours to give our incredible team a much-deserved rest. Please check out our festive opening hours from Tuesday 24th December 2024 to Tuesday 7th January 2025.

Please note: All venues will be closed on 25th & 26th December, and 1st & 2nd January (excluding Royal Commonwealth Pool). The venue opening hours listed on our venue webpages reflect typical opening hours, not those during the festive period. Some venues, though open, may have shorter opening hours than normal. Please make sure to check the above webpage for further information day by day.

Situated in the southeast of the city, Jack Kane Sports Centre and its fully equipped gym and Sports Hall has been keeping the people of Niddrie, Newcraighall and the surrounding areas, active for years. The centre is built in the middle of Hunters Hall Park and is easily accessible by public transport.

Bookable sports and activities in the Sports Hall at Jack Kane include Badminton, Table Tennis, 5-a-side indoor football and basketball.

The centre also offers a range of 7,9 and 11-aside grass and 3G football pitches which are available for hire.

There is no booking needed for a Gym session - just drop in as a member or a visitor.

Please note as our gym is unmanned, no under 16's are allowed in the gym.

Sports Hall bookings for racquet or ball sports are pre-book only. You can book online or via our mobile app for Android or iOS by creating or logging in to your booking account.
