Sports Pitches
Pitch updates are issued on a Friday for weekend (grass) pitch bookings for football, rugby & cricket.
The decision on playability of grass pitches is made by City of Edinburgh Council (CEC) ground maintenance team.
The availability of grass pitches can be limited in the summer months when cricket is in season. Once the season is finished the pitches are not relined by CEC.
Grass Pitch Update
Friday afternoon playability will cover bookings Friday to Sunday. See below for details.
For Monday – Friday playability – The bookings department will contact users in the event of any pitch being unplayable
NB: with the exception of Meggetland, Saughton Enclosure & Paties Road Enclosure, the decision on playability of grass pitches is made by City of Edinburgh Council Ground maintenance team.
