Carer Access Card
Allows carers free access to activities when visiting Edinburgh Leisure to support an individual with a disability
The Carer Access Card is designed to facilitate carers in supporting the individuals under their care during visits to our facilities.
This card enables a carer to book an activity alongside an Edinburgh Leisure customer at no additional cost to the carer.
The card is specifically for carers providing functional support to participants with disabilities who wish to access Edinburgh Leisure services.

How does it work?
When providing functional support, carers should assist participants with disabilities in accessing facilities, changing clothes, and participating in activities.
- The participant will pre-book their chosen activity.
- The carer should use the Carer Access Card to book a space for the same activity, at the same venue, at the same time.
- Carers and participants can link their member records so either the participant or the carer can book for the other.
- Carers can then access our facilities to provide functional support to the participant with no additional cost.
- The card cannot be used by the carer when accessing our facilities on their own.
- During the activity, carers must be available to support the individual throughout the activity duration
