Edinburgh Leisure is home to more than 750 fitness classes a week, ensuring whatever your workout plans, we have a class for you. Book online or via our mobile app for classes at any of our 17 venues across the city. 

Whether its a fast paced HIIT workout, strength & conditioning training, fun-filled dance class, spin cycle, relaxing yoga or a low-impact pool class, Edinburgh Leisure has something for everyone. We also run virtual fitness classes in a number of our cycle studios. 

Our fitness classes are pre-book only. Book online or via ‘Fitness Class Bookings’ on our mobile app for Android or iOS.

Conditioning

Unleash your full potential with our conditioning classes, designed to build strength, endurance, and agility. These classes focus on functional movements, tone muscles, and boost cardiovascular health. Get ready to transform your body with a combination of strength training, core work, and high-intensity intervals.

Classes available include Bodypump, Boxercise, Core, Circuits, Metafit, Pound and lots more.

Cycling

Experience the thrill of our high-energy cycling classes at Edinburgh Leisure, designed to boost your cardiovascular health and burn calories while pedaling to motivating music.

Classes available include RPM and SPRINT

Dance

Get fit while having fun with our dance fitness classes! These sessions combine the rhythm of dance with a full-body workout, making exercise feel like a party. From Zumba to hip-hop, our classes are perfect for all levels, allowing you to burn calories, improve coordination, and enjoy the beat of energetic music. Dance your way to a fitter, happier you!

Classes to fit every style including Fitsteps, Zumba, Latin Rhythms, Sh’Bam, Line Dancing and lots more.

High Energy HIIT

Take your fitness to the next level with our High Energy HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) classes. These sessions are designed to maximise calorie burn in a short time, combining bursts of intense activity with brief recovery periods. Perfect for those looking to build strength, speed and endurance, HIIT classes challenge your body and deliver fast results.

High intensity workouts include 20/20/20, Bodyattack, Bodycombat and RPM.

Les Mills

Les Mills is a group of fitness classes focusing on strength and cardio training, offering everything from yoga to cycling, dance, HIIT and more. Get ready to take your fitness experience to the next level with fresh, energizing tracks and dynamic moves and to ensure you can stay motivated with on-trend workouts! Every quarter, we drop new music releases for all Les Mills programmes, bringing you exciting updates for your workouts. Our most popular releases at the moment for Q1 in 2025 include BodyCombat 102, BodyPump 132, RPM 105 and BodyBalance 107.

Les Mills classes are the same all over the world, so even if you’re new to Edinburgh Leisure but have taken part in a Les Mills class before, your fitness class experience will be familiar and you can expect the same standard of class no matter where you go.

We are proud to offer a range of world-renowned Les Mills classes across our different class categories. 

Mind and Body

Nurture your body and mind with our relaxing health and fitness classes which blend physical exercise with mindfulness. Classes such as yoga, pilates, and tai chi focus on improving flexibility, balance and mental clarity. These sessions are perfect for reducing stress, enhancing focus, and achieving a harmonious balance between mind and body.

A wide range of yoga and pilates classes available including ashtanga, hatha, tai chi and Bodybalance.

Water-based and pool classes

Dive into fitness with our water-based fitness classes! These low-impact workouts are perfect for all fitness levels, offering resistance training and cardio in a refreshing aquatic environment. Great for joint health and overall fitness, these classes provide a full-body workout that’s gentle on your joints while still challenging your muscles and boosting your cardiovascular endurance.

Water-based fitness classes include H20 HIIT, Hydrospin, Aquafit and specialist swim skills classes.
