I'm new to Climbing
We welcome all climbing abilities to EICA: Ratho.
If you’ve never climbed before and wanting to learn or want to improve your skills on the walls, we offer a range of climbing lessons for all ages and abilities with our Climbing Arena Instructors.
Please note pre-booking is essential for instructor led sessions.
I have climbed before but I'm new to EICA:Ratho
Everyone who is looking to climb unsupervised has to complete the registration forms before climbing or bouldering at EICA: Ratho. You will be asked you complete a competency test upon arrival.
Please note to use the auto-belays in the arena you must have the skills and experience to climb and belay manually on top-roped routes, and complete the climber registration.
I'm a pay as you go customer at EICA:Ratho
If you are a pay as you go customer, you will have to check in and pay at reception prior to your visit.
By becoming a Climbing Member at EICA:Ratho, you can once again simply drop in to climb and boulder. Members can simply go straight to the arena and use your card/fob at the arena gates to get in.
Climbing at EICA:Ratho
As Europe's largest indoor climbing arena, EICA:Ratho offers world-class climbing walls and features a bouldering room.
Before getting on the walls at EICA, everyone has to complete the registration forms.
Want to bring a guest climber? For competent and registered climbers at EICA we allow up to a maximum of two guests to climb under your supervision. A customer can sign guests in at Reception, a guest form must be completed upon arrival. Please note you will be responsible for all guests, at all times during your visit and all guests must not belay unsupervised at any time. Guests will be charged a casual climb price for adult or junior.
Lead Climbing
Our arena is a lead climbing paradise, with a total of 62 lead climbing lines.
Top Rope & Auto Belays
With the rope always above you, climb with confidence. No Partner? No problem with our auto belays.
Bouldering
Bouldering is a great workout and way to get a taste for climbing. Check out what bouldering at EICA is all about!
Outdoor Climbing

Adult Start Up Sessions
Get on the walls with our Adult Start up sessions.
We'll introduce you to the skills needed to climb safely on our top rope walls and belaying plus we cover safe use of auto belays and bouldering. No previous experience is needed for this 2 hour course where we’ll show you the ropes.
