Support and Activities to boost your Mental Wellbeing

It’s estimated that one in four people will experience a mental health issue each year. We all have mental health, just like we all have physical health – it’s equally important that you know how to look after it and how to ask for help if you need it.

Please watch and share our short film. We hope it encourages more people, who may find themselves in similar situations as the people in the film, to seek out physical activity to protect and improve their mental health.

Being active isn’t just good for our physical health; it’s also proven to have a positive effect on our mental health and wellbeing. We want everyone to experience the benefits that being active brings to our wellbeing.

Edinburgh Leisure is passionate about the positive impact physical activity has on people’s physical, mental and social wellbeing.  Which is why as an independent charity we are on a mission to help people lead more active, healthy lives.

Our Active Communities Programme harnesses the power of physical activity and sport to tackle inequalities and combat the effects of inactivity.  Each year we provide support to improve the lives of 10,000 people who face the greatest barriers to getting active, including those affected by health conditions, disabilities, inequalities and poverty.

Help support our Active Communities Programme to ensure our specialist team can provide people with the help and support they need to protect their health and wellbeing.
